Find an audiology store

To make sure we have your most current information, a team member will confirm your details upon arrival and/or via phone before your appointment. We welcome you to browse our range of hearing aids online before your visit.

If you already wear hearing aids, be sure to bring these along with you to your appointment.

Upon arrival at the store, you’ll be greeted by a team member who’ll check you in, confirm your details, the reason for your visit.

If you already wear hearing aids, you would have brought these along with you.

You will then be taken through to the audiology consulting room.

Our team takes pride in delivering quality experiences for all our customers. If you require additional mobility or translation support, we welcome a support person or carer to be present with you in our consulting rooms.

A free 15-minute hearing check with one of our qualified audiology professionals is the first step to receiving advice about any concerns you have with your hearing, get an indication of the health of your hearing and what the next steps might look like for you toward better hearing.

After the short hearing screening we can provide an indication of how any hearing loss may be having an impact on you and determine if you need a more comprehensive clinical hearing assessment to diagnose any hearing loss.

If further testing is required, a fee may apply.

A free 15-minute telehealth consultation can be a great first step to get professional advice about your hearing health from an experienced audiology professional.

Telehealth consultations are over the phone and help you to get advice about your hearing without needing to venture in store. We can discuss any concerns you have about your hearing, or the performance of your current hearing aids if you already wear some. We’ll ask lots of questions to determine the next steps for you and whether you need to come in store for a comprehensive clinical hearing assessment.

If further testing is required, a fee may apply.

A hearing assessment takes one hour and costs $59 unless you are covered by ACC or VA – see funding available to New Zealanders here.

During this appointment, one of our audiology professionals will perform a full diagnostic assessment of your hearing and determine if you would benefit from hearing assistance.

If we find that you would benefit from hearing aids, we will explain the choices that are best suited to your budget and lifestyle needs. You’ll also have a range of the latest technology hearing aids offered in your preferred choice of fitting style and colour at no extra cost.

Whether you’re considering your first pair of hearing aids or looking to upgrade technology in your current pair, this free appointment with a qualified audiology professional is a chance to receive expert advice and understand the various choices and latest technology options available at Specsavers.

Once you’ve chosen your new hearing aids, we’ll see you back in store for your fitting appointment approximately two weeks later. Your audiology professional will ensure your hearing aids are comfortable and fit properly. We’ll also show you how to take care of them including how to keep them charged and clean. We’ll answer all your questions to make sure you know what to expect from your new hearing aids and how to get the most out of them.

It’s normal for it to take some time to get used to the new sounds around you. If you have any concerns, we are here to put it right, with our 90-day satisfaction period and four-year warranty on every hearing aid purchase.

Once you’ve been fitted with your hearing aids, we’ll see you back two weeks later for a follow-up appointment. During this appointment we’ll check how you’re going with your new hearing aids and make any adjustments if needed. We’ll also ensure you can manage them on a daily basis and answer any questions.

It’s normal for it to take some time to get used to the new sounds around you, so if you have any concerns, we are here to put it right, with our 90-day satisfaction period and four-year warranty on every hearing aid purchase.

We recommend an annual review with your qualified audiology professional to monitor any changes to your hearing which can happen over time. The appointment costs $59 unless you are covered by ACC or VA – see funding available to New Zealanders here.

The appointment takes about 30 minutes, allowing time to reassess the health of your hearing and ensure your hearing aids are performing to the best of their ability. We’ll also give your hearing aids a good clean and service to ensure they keep working well until your next annual review is due, remembering that if you do need any help or advice before then, you can book a telehealth consultation or hearing aid repair appointment at a time that suits you.
